In 2011, the Commissioner of the Department of Administration created Admin's Strategic Partnerships division and established its mission to proactively forge partnerships with key organizations in Minnesota and beyond. In the last few years, Admin has formed partnerships with leading businesses, non-profits, foundations, and other governmental organizations -- including cities, counties, colleges, school districts and more. These partnerships are helping improve organizational performance within state government.
For example, Admin is collaborating with the University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) on procurement, real estate and shared services. General Mills is a strong partner to the state's Office of Continuous Improvement. These are just a couple examples of how Admin is building connections across the state and leveraging the knowledge and resources of leading organizations to improve state government operations.
