Cyber Security Awareness
The tactics of cyber criminals are becoming increasingly advanced, making the State's data and your personal information increasingly vulnerable. Our goal is to help you avoid getting hacked and keep your personal data from ending up in the wrong hands.
That's why security experts at the Office of Enterprise Technology promote cyber security awareness. They are committed to protecting our most vital asset, the citizens of the State of Minnesota.
Awareness includes education for employees and citizens about the importance of information security - whether at work or at home. OET sponsors annual education events, and provides resources to help you prevent issues and identify cyber security events.

Kids Safe Online
The Kids Safe Online Poster Contest is a great way to teach children in grades K-8 about cyber security. The deadline to submit posters is Feb. 16, 2012.
The contest is open to all public, private or home-schooled students in kindergarten through eighth grade and is administered by the State of Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC).
Cyber Security Awareness Month
Each October, State security experts host a series of events on the State Capitol Campus to promote cyber security. See the October 2011 Proclamation signed by Gov. Mark Dayton in honor of Cyber Security Awareness Month.
